There was an international competition “Žiemos galiūnas 2015” organised for the first time in the City of Vilkaviškis on 7 February. Two sportsmen from Lithuania (V. Blekaitis and S. Brusokas), Latvia (O. Martužans and J. Šleckus), Estonia (M. Mannik and P.E. Rosenberg) and Poland (M. Ostaszcewsky and G. Schymanski) took part in the competition. Two our strongmen struggled with young participants in six competitions: timber lifting, sledge pulling, yoke pulling, log crib bearing, weight bearing and stacking of bags on elevations. After heavy struggle the winner was Polish vice-champion G. Schymanski, who collected 40.5 points, the second place was taken by V. Blekaitis, who collected 37 points, and the third place was taken by the Lithuanian strongman S. Brusokas, who collected 34.5 points. The referee of the competitions was the strongest man in the world Ž. Savickas, who is ready to win the eight title in “Arnold strongman classic”  competition on 27 March (the USA).
